The show is back!! I'm so happy.

I loved the premiere. It was so. funny. And wild. My favorite things besides everything:

I loved all of the Edrisa. Why was she at the opening scene? O_o Don't know, but yay. Her weirdness puts me on the floor laughing, and it's such a compatible weirdness to Malcolm's that it makes me :DDD every time they get goofy over morbid stuff together.

Man, I missed JT so much! Him being confused by and perpetually done with Bright and Edrisa's everything is forever hilarious. I'm digging the new look too. I'm a fan of the beard. That ending freaked me out, though. I was scared for a second that they would kill him off or use what happened to write him off, and that was a giant NO for me.

Malcolm dancing to Donna Summer with a whip in a sex dungeon while channeling his serial killer father a little too much is my new favorite thing in life. Lmfao What was his hair doing in that scene?

Jessica's intro. Ha ha. hahahaha She shouldn't have been dropping those eaves outside Gil's room. I like her and Gil together. I hope they work things out eventually.

The Dani and Gil scenes. I really like their relationship.

I loved the resolution to the Ainsley situation in the finale. Malcolm taking care of her by getting rid of the body and all that entailed, working with his dad, and disposing of the body--yes. I wonder what that's going to do to him going forward. He skirts really close to the edge sometimes. It will be interesting to see how far those limits reach.

I kind of want to use Malcolm's "ledge stuff" the same way I use Rick's "stuff and thangs". lol

I am hyped for this season. Feels like it's going to be a lot of fun. I'm excited to start spending time with these characters again. I love this bananas show.

The ropes stuff was so funny, I can't. Edrisa is a treasure. And Malcolm and Edrisa smiling over the use of a guillotine while JT's all, "That's so weird..." LOL I get so happy every time they're happy morbid goofballs together.

Yes, Edrisa and Malcolm are just two super nerdy about death and murder goofballs ... surrounded by people who don't get it, and JT is an amazing straight man to their excitement. I rewatched the pilot last night and when Edrisa meets Malcolm and they have this moment over the first dead body JT's face is perfect and he's like "What the hell is happening right now?"

Okay, so I just pulled that up on Hulu to see that exchange again and LOFL. Gahhh, JT as the -_- to their :D over bodies is taking me out. I stan. Both JT and Malcolm/Edrisa's whole everything. I ship them, and there's this part in that ballet episode where she says something about the murder sounding like a spy story and he says, "Welcome to 2020. Can't rule anything out." And the looks they exchange! I know it's a long shot and I'll ship it either way, but I love their interactions so much that I'm happy with my hopeless hope for them.

But I honestly won't care if canon doesn't go that way. I ship things where the characters never even met in canon. hahaha

They are just so EXCITED about it all and everyone else is so beaten down by death. I have a fic idea (which I'll probably never write because I'm lazy) where Malcom trusts her completely because of their shared honesty about death and she starts going dark ... because its so easy for her to slide into the darker side of death .. but he pulls her back.

I hope you do end up writing it eventually because that story needs to exist in the world. I love stories where characters who are otherwise sweet or "good" go dark. I used to be really into Molly/Moriarty in Sherlock. That had the same sort of flavor. I also love it when characters who go dark get pulled back by someone that cares about them, that talked off the edge moment (or "ledge stuff" lol) so that idea is candy to me.

They have such a funny and sweet and very oddly specific dynamic with each other over all the death stuff that there are a hundred different ways their stories could go, and I feel like I would love all a hundred of them. haha

I might!! I'm giving myself January off from writing -- my work schedule is too all over the place and *gestures* there's a lot happening in the world that is distracting. But the plot bunny has officially started digging a hole in my brain, *g*

Understandable. I enjoy letting a good idea build up in my mind for a while. Sometimes, I'll sit on an idea, only thinking about or occasionally scribbling down notes or ideas for weeks or months before I finally start it. Maybe you could explore the idea in a more passive, fantasizing way for a while until you have the time or decide if you want to commit to writing it. It's a super fun idea either way.

I've given myself the month of January off because of my work schedule and just *gestures* 2020's leftovers. But I will definitely think about a plot and see if the story happens >:)
