My mind jumped to Clark Kent as soon as I read this part of the second prompt: gladioli represent strength of character, faithfulness, moral integrity. He's too humble to slap that in his Twitter bio, but the cape fits.
There are few characters that I've loved as much and as long as I have Clark Kent. I was just thinking the other day about how funny and nice it is to love a character in every adaptation I've seen. Christopher Reeve, Brandon Routh, Henry Cavill, and Tom Welling were all perfect in the role to me. I haven't watched Superman & Lois (I fell behind on Arrowverse and haven't caught up yet), but I also loved Tyler Hoechlin in Supergirl and the crossovers. Recently, I've also started watching Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, and I was surprised by how much I loved Dean Cain in the role. I don't know if I'm just lucky with my preferences or what, but I've loved everybody who has put on the cape! lol
With the comics and cartoons too, there is so much canon to love, and a huge draw for me to the character is precisely his strength of character, faithfulness, and moral integrity. There's an inherent goodness to Clark that I absolutely adore. He's incorruptible and pure of heart, and there's something deeply comforting about that. I'm looking forward to the new cartoon starting this month as well!
I have no familiarity with David Corenswet or Rachel Brosnahan who will play Lois and Clark next. Then again, I only knew Teri Hatcher from that time Conan got a concussion when he fell while racing her, and I'm loving her as Lois in Lois & Clark. I'm bummed out
