majorrThis was my favorite episode of the season so far!
I have been dying... dying for Edrisa and Martin to meet because I knew it would be funny because those two are such oddballs. They finally met!! And the scene did not disappoint. Edrisa fangirling over the Surgeon had me on the floor. Of course they hit it off, and of course they were both total weirdos about it. Words do not express my love for their meeting. Please let them have random hilarious scenes together going forward either in person or through more phone calls. Edrisa just chatting with Martin on the phone after their meeting was the perfect follow-up.
RIP Jerry! Cured (in the funniest way possible) and gone too soon. I enjoyed the case. I thought it was fun seeing them sleuth around in that setting. Would Malcolm have been back on his feet after being zapped that many times? I do not know, but I'm going to tralala it the way I do everything else here.
The other big, big love I had was all of the Ainsley stuff. I am so excited to see where the show takes her character. Jessica knowing now is great, and Ainsley starting to remember and piece things together is even better. I wonder if she's going to go bananas and become the Surgeon Junior. Poor Malcolm is going to be visiting his dad on one floor and his little sister on the next. But, man, I am loving all of the protectiveness from him for her, and I'm curious to see how that manifests with Jessica now that she's in the loop. I hope it leads to more phone calls between her and Martin, though. Their offbeat co-parenting is a delight.
Finally, I miss JT. Please come back from paternity leave. The only thing that would have made the Edrisa and Martin scene better was if he were there. I must put energy into my new dream of JT reacting to Edrisa reacting to Martin. haha
