Prompts:

• Only One Character Survives Murder-Suicide Attempt - If some supernatural event/possession/mind control situation made Aidan kill Sally when she had her body back and turned her back into a ghost, I think the horror and guilt when he was in control of himself again would emotionally cripple him. The angst of Aidan knowing he hurt her, killed her, stole her second chance at life away, would be devastating to him. Even with Sally’s forgiveness, especially with her history… Aidan would give great angst.


• Graphic Depictions of Hugging - Hugs that go on too long. Hugs that make Josh and/or Nora catch on that they’re falling in love before they do. Sleepy hugs. The kind of hug where Aidan cups the back of her head. Welcome home hugs. Hugs on the couch that end with Sally just sort of slumping against him. Hugs that almost hurt after thinking the other was going to die or go through their door.


• Happy reunion in the afterlife - An extension of their final scene. Does Sally give Aidan a tour of Heaven? Are they able to watch over Josh and Nora? I adored their relief and joy and love at being reunited when they were both at peace, and I really want more of all that good stuff.


• Character A attempts to sacrifice themself for B; B gets very upset - I don’t think Aidan would like it if Sally did anything to help him that would get her hurt/killed (if it’s when she has a body) or cost Sally her door or risk getting sent to Hell in the name of saving him. Sally would definitely try to make that kind of sacrifice to protect him from some horrible fate, but Aidan so often feels like he deserves bad things because of his past or can’t reach redemption no matter how hard he tries. Anger and horror at her risking harm to herself for him that stems from a self-loathing and protective place is such an Aidan thing.


• A gets overprotective of B after B gets badly hurt - Aidan is always getting himself into something violent or dangerous. I’d love to see Sally fussing over him or maybe overprotective of him even from other people trying to help him to a point that amuses him or helps him with whatever pain he’s dealing with because she’s a bit over the top about it.


• Ghosts - A is a ghost only B can see and interact with - What happened? Why can’t Josh or Nora or anyone see Sally anymore? Does a deep codependence grow between her and Aidan because he’s the only one who can see her now?


• Character A is delirious and calls for B even though B is right there - Aidan totally out of it and only being coherent enough to vocalize his need for Sally is the kind of sad fluffy angst I could live on.

Daredevil (TV)
Matt Murdock/Foggy Nelson

Best friends to lovers is one of my favorite dynamics, and these two deliver the perfect foundation for it. I love how much they love each other, how much they laugh together, how much light Foggy brings to Matt’s often dark and complicated life. I love Matt being protective, his faith and moral compass. I love Foggy’s competence and integrity, their friendship with Karen, and all of them working together at Nelson, Murdock and Page. I love that they made it through a lot of angst and friendship testers and back to each other. Feel free to set this whenever, back in their school days, during or post-season one, two, or three, all good.

Note: I love Matt & Foggy & Karen, Matt & Sister Maggie, Matt & Father Lantom, Foggy & Brett. Anything where Matt or Karen interact with Foggy’s family. And I’m watching Born Again so you don’t need to worry about accidentally spoiling me on anything.

Prompts:

• "Because I love you!" Oops I said it out loud - What’s the pressure point here for Matt? An argument about Foggy not doing something for his own safety? Foggy trying to get to the bottom of why Matt seems annoyed by every single guy Foggy has dated and introduced him to over the years?


• 5+1 Things - 5 times Karen, Claire, Brett, or one of the Defenders witnessed Matt become a jealous/pining mess because Foggy has started seeing a guy for the first time, and 1 time one of them told him to do something about it. And he does. | 5 times Foggy playfully told Matt he hated him to keep from accidentally admitting he loved him, and 1 time Matt told Foggy he loved him because he was ready to hear it. | 5 times other people noticed Matt being proud of Foggy in some way, whether it was over something silly or profound, just Matt being unabashedly proud, and 1 time Foggy was loudly proud of Matt in a way that gathered a lot of attention.


• Alternate Universe - Ballet - I don’t know, man. Something about ballet dancer!Matt falling for the funny struggling lawyer who eats lunch near the studio where he practices appeals to my soul. Tickets are expensive. Does Matt gift him one? Is Foggy kind of uninterested in ballet altogether, but then he sees Matt dance and… wow. Matt getting swarmed by thirsty fans or cornered by a hotshot dancer and Foggy deciding he should just slink away without saying hi, but he’s the only one Matt wants to talk to. Any scene or angle you want to take this, I’m game.


• Alternate Universe - Slavery - Reluctant Slave Owner Falls for Slave - I’ve loved multiple fics with this premise, but I’ve never seen one with it reversed where Foggy was the slave and Matt was the reluctant owner. I’m so curious what that fic would look like, how the role reversal would impact Matt, especially with his drive to do the right thing and protect people. Is this Foggy’s first owner, or is he afraid of Matt at first because he’s been treated cruelly before? Is he able to maintain his sense of humor despite some obvious past trauma? Does it break Matt’s heart when he flinches or cowers, expecting punishment?


• Alternate Universe - A is an android gifted to B - This is fun either way. From the Matt is an android side: Did Foggy get gifted an android that was really discounted because it has a broken optics system and is surprised by how skilled and functional “it” is? I feel like Foggy would quickly see the humanity in Matt. Is he the first owner to show kindness and affection to Matt if Matt is secondhand? How emotional is it for Matt to not be treated like a broken disposable thing? From the Foggy is an android side: Was he forced on Matt as some sort of accessibility aid at law school, frustrating him at first because he doesn’t really need one, but then hey, this funny/kind/charismatic “thing” becomes his best friend? For drama, maybe he’s expected to give Foggy up when he graduates, but they’re so attached to each other and Foggy’s sentience is so obvious to him that the idea of passing him on to someone else (especially when they might treat him badly) is genuinely distressing/makes him desperate for a way to keep him.


• A’s concern for B grows deeper the longer B hides what is wrong - I think this would be amazing pre-Foggy finding out about his abilities. Matt hearing/sensing Foggy tearing up/upset while in another room or outside out of normal hearing range, knowing something is wrong but not being able to directly call him on it since he acts like everything is fine to his face. Stuff like hearing him murmur ‘just get through the day’ to himself from another room and growing more and more concerned while struggling to figure out how to support him when he can’t reveal that he knows something is really wrong and the concern devouring him whole. Foggy stubbornly trying not to pile on Matt, and Matt needing to comfort him in a ball of worry.


• begging for forgiveness - Does anyone angst prettier than Matt? I don’t even care what they’re fighting about, just that Foggy is justifiably angry, and Matt gets very pretty desperate and panicked for Foggy’s forgiveness. Groveling, bargaining, tears, hand grabbing, excuses that maybe spark Foggy’s temper worse, turned to pleading, ‘what do I have to do to make this right, I’ll do anything’ type energy: any of it.

The Defenders (Marvel TV)
Luke Cage/Danny Rand

Their meet-cute is endlessly hilarious to me, just how completely outmatched Danny is before he goes glowy. I love these two as a battle couple. Their fighting styles, strengths and weaknesses complement each other in such a fun way. I just love their progression from animosity to teammates to besties, their funny camaraderie and heartfelt connection. Great potential for friends to lovers, which I adore. Depending on when you want to set it, I’m fine with canon love interests being written as something that ended amicably already (no infidelity, please) or ignored altogether.

Prompts:

• Cursed with obedience - Forced to follow all commands given to them - I would love to see Luke thinking it was funny that Danny was forced to do whatever someone said at first, maybe even playfully exploiting it, but getting angry/protective when someone tries to abuse it in a way that would genuinely hurt, endanger, or make Danny uncomfortable. That switch from ‘lol’ to ‘back off’ would be so iddy.


• Alternate Universe - Scream Movies Fusion - I don’t know why the idea of Danny being targeted by Ghostface is so funny to me, but I just feel like he’d be nonchalant where he should be concerned and Luke would be wtf about his reaction/more sensible about the threat. I guess Ghostface would have to be powered to stand any kind of chance against either of them or maybe have the simple ability to remove the power of others while in his presence? To even the playing field? I don’t know, but maybe Luke would be more in the know about previous murders and it would be another gap Danny has for why he’s not taking the threatening calls seriously. Is Ghostface an OC or a known character in the Marvel shows?


• 5 + 1 Things - 5 times they got into an argument about something mundane because anger is easier than admitting they’re falling in love, and 1 time one of them finally blurted out their feelings mid-argument. | 5 times Luke and Danny were mistaken for a couple, and 1 time they were offended that someone laughed at the idea that they could be (prompting an admission of feelings). | 5 times Luke almost kissed Danny, and 1 time Danny took matters into his own hands (or lips).


• Idiots in Love - My beloved. They’re oblivious. They’re in denial. They think the other could never feel the same way. Whatever is going on, all they’d need is a thimble’s worth of courage to get what they wanted, but feelings realizations and admitting the feelings they realize is hard work. Best to be idiots about it for a while.


• Outsider POV - noticing that a character is showing blatant favoritism for another character - Don’t care if Luke is favoring Danny or if Danny is favoring Luke, just the humor in the audacity of the obviousness of it. Lol I love Jessica’s wry commentary, the way she catches on to things so quickly, and her bluntness. She’d be a good candidate for the POV. I also love Claire, Ward, Matt, and Misty and think any of them would make amusing or insightful observations about them and decide to voice or suppress those observations in a variety of ways. haha


• Character A catches B as they collapse - Oh no, does Luke have to pick Danny up? Well, if he must.


• Character A drapes their jacket over B’s shoulders - I think it would be adorable for Luke to do this in the pre-relationship/pining/no one has confessed their feelings yet stage. Oh, are you cold? Let me love you totally platonically take care of you. But then feelings.
