Snowflake Challenge #4
Challenge #4
IceBreaker Challenge! Tell us about yourself.
(I went with the Random Question Generator suggestion.)
What is the most recent silly thing you did?
My sister bought me the Don’t Wake Daddy board game to troll me on Christmas. Jamie Lee Curtis repeatedly talking about trauma is me talking about playing that game as a child. I didn’t think it would still get me like it did as a kid. Welp. A group of us played it, and I legit jumped or screamed every… single… time that Daddy snapped awake. As fun and horrifying as I remember. Highly recommend playing it again as an adult. The trauma is real and kind of glorious.
What would be the best and worst part of being a cat in your opinion?
The sleeping would be the best. I have insomnia, don’t sleep much at all, and sometimes I’ll look over at my cats in the middle of the night and envy how knocked out they are. Worst would be the grooming. Would not want to have to lick fur to stay groomed. Relatedly, furballs.
What’s something that you use regularly that you wish you didn’t have to?
My heating pad. My sweet weighted one with the massage settings was sadly murdered by my cat who used it as a scratching post. It was the second one I lost to feline crime. Need to replace it, but I’m still using my regular heating pads (I have one at my bed and one at my desk chair) because I’ve had a strange lower back/hip area pain for the last couple of weeks that won’t seem to go away. I think it’s my bed giving me issues. Good news is I’ve bought a new one, and it will be delivered within the week. I hope that takes care of it and my heating pads can be turned off more.
What song currently speaks to you the most?
Hope by NF. In the last few years, I’ve put in a lot of work to both practice gratitude and take personal responsibility, and I feel like I’m in a much healthier place today than I was three years ago. I feel myself nodding along when I listen to Hope. Forward motion.
What animal do you think best reflects your personality?
I asked my mom, and she said an owl because they make her think of wisdom. I’m flattered. I’ll try to live my best owl life. Wisdom not guaranteed.
