Challenge #2

In your own space, set yourself some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private.

Reading: I've lowered the number of physical books that I own that I haven't read yet down to fifteen. I want to get that number down to zero!

Writing: I'm a Backpacker in GYWO this year, so I need to write 120 days. I'd also like to try doing word sprints on Discord. I've never used Discord, but I love virtual write-ins on YouTube so I think it's worth trying out. After I figure out how to use Discord. lol

Fandom: I want to do more fests and bingos, both reading and writing! I always have fun when I do those. And I want to try playing Yahtzee over at Get Your Words Out. I always wash out after getting my prompts. So my goal this year is to get prompts and then, you know, actually follow through. lol Basically, my fandom goals this year are to follow my joy and have fun.

I really need to take inspiration from you and get through my unread pile 😂 Since joining my local library a few years back, it's been really difficult to prioritise them! Getting to zero will be amazing, good luck :D

I'm also doing GYWO this year! I'm not sure if you saw the helpful how-to Discord post the mods recently shared. People on the server are very nice and helpful if you get stuck or while you figure things out! I also really enjoy word sprints, I hope you make it :)

Every year I set out to do it, and every year... I buy more books and it becomes impossible. My real goal should probably be a book-buying ban until I catch up. But... I'm fixing to do birthday shopping for someone, and I know I'm going to throw a book I've been eyeing on top of it. Why set myself up to fail? lol

I need to go through that Discord guide for sure. I'm not sure why that platform seems so intimidating since I do livestreams on YouTube and it has to be sort of similar, but it's nice to hear that it's a chill place. I've got to check the sprint schedule and see when I can give it a go.

Fests and bingos are fun! It took me some time to figure out Discord (and I doubt I've gotten everything even now) but I hope it works out. When I was doing them, I did find the word sprints useful.

allbingo does a fest each month. January is Public Domain Day Bingo and February will be Valentines.
